Information on Winfried Hochstättler

Working in Cottbus.

I am professor for "Mathematische Grundlagen der Informatik" (literally this translates into "Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science") at the Mathematisches Institut of the BTU in Cottbus. Presently, I also work as a proxy for the chair of "Algorithmics, Optimization, Discrete Mathematics" at the Fernuni in Hagen. I am a regular visitor to the ZAIK at the University of Cologne, Germany.

My interests are mainly in combinatorics from graph theory and geometry, including matroid theory and applications in logistics like vehicle routing.

I have some more scripts of my courses (in German).

I am proud to be the coproducer of all five (yes, the next one will be officially released in spring, but contact me, in case you want to have it for Christmas) CDs of the "Francesca Simone Trio" one of the finest bands in jazz-oriented vocal music. I have access to copies.
